The book is almost here!

Lenore Lambert

I'm super-excited to tell you that one of my two big projects is almost finished!

One of the reasons that my Flourish programs have been taking a while to create is that I've also been finishing off and self-publishing a book.

I'm a long-time meditator, and the Buddha's wisdom is one of the key foundations of the Flourish program. For the last six years I've also taught the dharma (the Buddha's teachings) and in 2012, I started writing a book. It's called The Buddha for Modern Minds: A non-religious guide to the Buddha and his teachings.

The very first announcement of the book has just gone out via the Secular Buddhist Network in the US, which is so exciting! It's finally feeling real! Check out the article here.

I was so thrilled to see that within minutes of it being posted, this comment appeared:

"My introduction to Buddhism is mostly through secular Buddhism - and Stephen Batchelor. I feel permanently overwhelmed by all that there is to know about Buddhism. I am so much looking forward to reading this book. It is EXACTLY what I have been looking for, for about five years."

The whole reason I wrote it was to help newcomers get their arms around the teachings - to explain them in a practical, relevant way that makes them accessible and use-able - to take away the overwhelm and confusion that often arrives when people approach the teachings for the first time.

If you're interested to know more, or know someone who might be, please do send them the link to the article, or to Amazon where the e-book is now available for pre-order (to be delivered on the 28th). The paperback will follow next month. I'll keep you posted here on the Flourish blog.

SO exciting!!
