This was the opening subject of a recent interview I did on a new vodcast called Redefining Wisdom.

The pod was started by a young man named Daniel Cianci who is exploring wisdom and personal growth after a life crisis and two year bout of depression. He saw my TEDx talk and wanted to know more.

One of the Nine Elements of Human Flourishing is Engagement. This is where you're so 'into' whatever it is you're doing, that time flies by; where the task absorbs your entire attentional bandwidth. When we finished the interview, Daniel and I were shocked to find that we'd spoken for almost three hours! (Don't worry, the interview here has been edited down to one.)

It's what happens when you get two people talking about a deeply embedded interest!

We cover a lot of ground, including the folly of aiming for an all good, all happy life, the importance of being willing to allow all shades of your experience to show up and be the part of your life that they are, the courageous and powerful work of inviting your demons in for a tea party, some tools for paying attention to your experience.... and quite a bit more.

So grab a cuppa, park yourself in a comfy spot, and join us for a super interesting chat.

If you'd be so kind to watch it all the way through (this helps YouTube decide it's good quality), hit like, and make a comment, that will help others find it too.
